Hi all. I've been working for a while on getting the emu10k1 drivers to
work under Mandrake 8.2, and I finally got them up and running. However,
now, whether I use analog or digital output, I get a constant pulsing of
sound through my speakers. I can still play other audio, but it sounds
like crap to listen to the pusling in the background. It sounds something
like a repetative beep/sine wave type noise. I was wondering if anyone
else had this kind of problem or if anyone knows of a setting I could
change to remedy this.

Thanks for any help,
Joe

Which drivers are you using? Which version? Where did you download them
from? I have a SB Audigy Player (same board, but no breakout-box) and it
works like a charm.

I am using emu10k1-v0.20a, with emu-tools 0.9.4. I have the Audigy Platinum
eX card with the drive bay expansion. They were downloaded from
sourceforge.net/projects/emu10k1.

I got my sound to work, please disregard my above info. Evidentally, after
installed, a dsp effect was set to run by default. I did emu-dspmgr -z to
reset the effects and viola, no more annoying white noise.

Thank you for helping,
Joe
