Author Driver for Logitech Quick Cam

All,
I was wondering if some one with any experience of using a
webcam on Linux could guide me to use my webcam. I have been looking for
drivers on different sites. Logitech don't provide drivers for Linux. I
have seen a few private websites where people have developed their own
drivers but if I try to install those drivers it fails horribly.

Does anyone know of any available and usable drivers out there?

Thanks
Yousaf

Coincidentally, I set up a USB Logitech Quickcam on my RH 8.0 system last
night. The installation instructions at
http://www.isthe.com/chongo/tech/comp/pwc/rh7.3.html worked just fine (even
though they were written for RH 7.3 and not 8.0). Both Camstream and
GnomeMeeting were able to use the camera without problems.

Of course, as always, YMMV.
