alt.os.linux - d5d0.2.7 and Xine0.9.13 not working together

Using RedHat 8.0 I installed xine and xineui. It all works.
I grabbed xine-d5d-0.2.7 and built and installed it no problem.
When I start xine I get :
.....blah blah...
load_plugins: input plugin found : MMS
d5d input plugin doesn't support plugin API version 8.
PLUGIN DISABLED.
This means there's a version mismatch between xine and this inputplugin.
Installing current input plugins should help.
....blah ..blah
So I don't get my d5d plugin enabled!
Can someone get ahold of Captain css and find out about this problem.
