I've downloaded about 4 copies now. (at 96Mb/copy, you do the math!)
Every time, I get it, it's a .sh.bin file, I sh BLAHBLAH.sh.bin, and
it says the checksums don't match. I've tried repeatedly from different
sites, I can't seem to get a valid copy.

Anyone know where I can get a working copy of UT2003 for Linux, or why
I'm getting this from the installer??? Can they really ALL be bad?

Thanks,
sl

There was a post on this a while back when the demo came out. There is a
md5 patch that needs to be downloaded as well. I did this a while back
when the UT2k3 came out, but bought the game since then.

Try Reading Here about MD5 sum problems with the game
http://www.linuxgames.com/news/index.php3/5910

I had no trouble with it and my MD5sum says
bash-2.05a$ md5sum UT2003-Demo-Linux.sh.bin
5f079a9693e6a61a7b25795e3ccce7
b1 UT2003-Demo-Linux.sh.bin

What program did you download them with

ls gives this as the size
bash-2.05a$ ls -al UT2003-Demo-Linux.sh.bin
-rw-rw---- 1 root sys 98801732 Sep 24 21:16
UT2003-Demo-Linux.sh.bin

I never had that problem. Which program do you use to download the file?
Some browsers seem to do some kind of magic with the file. Downloading with
ncftp or wget seems to work fine, though.

Remember, our windoze version has one cd fillied with tools for
developers... The game itself is only on 1.4 gig's worth of discs and is
only 2 gig when installed.
