DeskNote Linux install?
|
|
| justinalexander 2002-10-14, 11:24 am |
| Has anyone had any experience installing Linux on an ECS DeskNote
system?
Installs on any system will be helpfull, but specificaly installs on
a929 or a928 systems.
How does RH 8.0 handle the install?
also, I have created a mailing list for DeskNote a929 systems at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/a929/members
Thanks in advance,
J. Alexander

| great,
thats a great notebook.. a desknote. Its pretty much like a normal Athlon
XP system.. (if what you have is the i-buddie XP vs i-buddie 4; im not
familiar with the serial numbers). However a desktop HD would have been
appreciated.. as well as acceptable graphics. But hey, its so unexpensive!
You should be able to install any OS you want with no issues. However
you may not find optimal drivers for linux for your video adapter.
