| Okay, I got these external drive casings and wanted to get them working
for forensics and such. Cannot get either working with an IDE hard drive.

First one is a 3-1/2"/5-1/4" bay with a Western Digital drive 21200 in
it. The drive is seen correctly but I cannot use it:

I know that I have USB 1.1 on this notebook, I use a smartmedia USB
reader regularly and it works great. Both of these claim 2.0 AND 1.1
compatability so they SHOULD work. It gets the WD drive type correct
and the size for the IBM (laptop drive) correct.
Any help?
