Hi all,
I am new to this group and to Linux for that matter. I am currently
taking a class on Unix and I am quite curious when delving into this OS. It
is very powerful and I like using it so far. I am relatively experienced
with computers and moderately versed in the C language, still learning. I
hope I have come to the right group because I have many questions.

Thanks,
Joe

Welcome Joe:
I troll here a lot, answer questions when I can. Are you taking class at a
university? What brand of Unix are they using. I know my school uses
mandrake, but it doesnt really matter. They teach unix and only unix. We
may see a little on xwindow system but never will we dive into kde or gnome.

This is *one* of the correct groups for Linux. I also strongly suggest
the comp.os.linux.* hierarchy.
