Hi
I'm trying to run X in RH 7.3 and SuSe 8.0 but it doesn't work properly
because there isn't any driver for this card (intel 845G) .
I should use VESA driver but it works only with little resolution so
it's not really attractive.
Could anybody advise me how can be this problem solved.
Thanks

By the looks of it, this card is not actually supported
[BUT] I would try using either i740 or i810 as the driver, you might get
lucky

No, the Intel Extreme Graphics Chip that runs off the i845G Intel
MOTHERBOARD CHIPSET on fully configured boards does not have a *nix
driver available for it yet that I know of. The AGP slot on that
motherboard will support NVidia graphics cards, though.

My earlier i845 variant motherboard (not an Intel board, but with Intel
chipset in part) runs as an i810 based chipset with one heck of a fast
CPU as far as Linux is concerned, but it had no graphics embedded and I
am using a GeForce2 graphics card.

John.
