| Hi!
I have a Debian linux acting as gateway, webserver, ftpserver, smtp,
NAT...etc...
and a Red Hat machine (inside lan), acting has proxy server, dhcp server,
dns etc..
Inside the lan i have many windows machines too....(clients)...
Now i need to control the traffic from both servers, (i use ipac in both to
do that job) and reports
to the windows clients by email (using the simple "mail command", executed
in cron, by a simple script)..
In the Debian box running the smtp server, everything works fine...
Now i want to send reports of the proxy, to windows clients too....
Do i really need sendmail, or postfix...(they are smtp servers...), when i
really need its only
a simple command line smtp client ??
When i try to mail from proxy box, it says sendmail not found...
How can i have a really simple way to send this mails (reports) to the smtp
server, from the proxy box ??
Thanks in advance
C.S.
