To move the process, right click on the little bar on the title bar at
the bottom of the screen which indicates the program you want to move.
One of the options in the menu that comes up is "To Desktop" with an
arrow. If you right move the cursor to that To Desktop item
it will list the various desktops (1 2 3 4) for you to choose.
Or All Desktops in which case that program window will show up on all
desktops.

Clicking on the pane at the bottom is how you go from desktop ( what you
call the "room") to another.

Actually I am glad I saw this note as I had not known how to move
windows from one desktop to the other either)
