A little more information would be nice. I'm going to take a guess and say
the install didn't go as planned. At what point did it crap out on you? Did
you run a checksum on the iso's before you burned them etc...

I'm not going to play today Andrew so Im going to say you just couldn't
figure out how to configure it and thought youd rant. Damn, I lied I am
going to play. I don't hang out in the RH groups so there may be a problem
that I don't know of but you're the first Ive seen with such a blanket
condemination of 8.0. So once again I ask what part didn't work.

I agree. Rh 7.3 is worst to date . 8.0 i won't even bother

Big fan if linux here but if 8.0 is like 7.4.18 then I know what it's
like. Maybe it was just me but it seemed twice as slow as my
7.2.7-3.145927 (or what ever I had before)

I must agree with you. Psyche seems a lot slower than Valhalla. This box
(P3-500Mhz, 512MB RAM) was reasonably fast with 7.3. Now with 8.0 it's dog
slow.

I dunno. I know some folks whose primary use for Linux is server
stuff -- hardly "windoze addicts" -- and they seem to be quite happy
with RedHat.

Most people who run servers do so from the
console, in which case they are dealing with
a base system that is pretty much distro-neutral...

with RedHat.

Oh my god, you're 12 aren't you Steve.

Blah, blah, blah, Linux is #1, blah, blah, blah, Windoze suxs!
I use Pan, that makes me a Linux user!

Steve, to tell me you don't use Windows, would make you a liar. And
since you use Windows, your above statement makes you a hypocrite.

Either way, you made a point and at your age you should be proud.
