Hi all,

I have a problem with the scsi cdrom in RedHat 7.2.
After installing the RedHat 7.2 box using the same scsi cdrom, it is then
not recognised when I tried to mount it

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom, it returned
mount: /dev/cdrom: unknown device

there is a line in /etc/fstab:
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 oauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0

when "ls -l cdrom" in /dev, it shows cdrom as a link to /dev/scd0.
Also tried mounting /dev/scd0 as /mnt/cdrom, no luck

I typed in "dmesg | more" for some kernel info and the cdrom has been
recognised as a Sony cdrom cdu-76s. ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Their is a line for each scsi HDD which states they were attached. the line
for the cdrom is missing

Any suggestions, there is Squid and some rpms I would like to install from
the cds.

Thanks,

Yves
