See there is much controversy about the "Real-Exam Questions" sites
here....

"Passing an Exam" and what your" Knowledge" of the subject matter
really is are two VERY different things!

I have met folks with years of experience who can do their IT work
flawlessly, KNOW what goes where and why, then took the same cert test
3-4-5 times!!! Some never passed!

There are some folks who don't cheat, can study their asses off and
pass all cert tests without a hitch but could not turn on a computer
without help!!

As we can see by some questions in these newsgroups the exam questions
are often not clearly "black or white". Sometimes there is more than
one correct answer and we are to choose the "most correct" one...

Taking certification tests is a bit of an art. The magic words of
"always", "sometimes", "normally", "and", "or" and many others can
often make ALL the difference between a right ot wrong answer!

These exams have become ever more expensive. Microsoft up to $125.
Comptia as high as $200+. WHO wants to piss away money on "trial &
error" at these prices??

If you know the subject matter, can actually DO the work then I can
understand seeking the extra help of some of these so called "REAL"
exam guides/braindumps. Yes, you are cheating. Yes, you deprive
yourself of the pride of know you passed all on your own. Yes, you
would probaby be branded as "scum of the earth" by those that did it
the kosher way and just studied.

If you know little or nothing. If you really don't or barely
understand the subject matter and use these guides to slide on by and
pass that exam then you are a fool!
Just like getting a phony Doctor's "degree" doesn't mean you can
actually function as a doctor then these cheated exams will not
qualify you for actually DOING an IT job. You will embarass yourself,
lose the job and make all other like-certified people seem suspect.
You are kidding yourself if you really think that just getting a bunch
of papers will make you that highly paid "guru" you dream of becoming.

Bottom line. All exam helpers from Transcender or Boson down are a
form of cheating. The "REAL" questions are definitely cheating.
In the end you know what you know. No exam will make up for that.

The REAL answer is PERFORMANCE based testing like the CCIE.
"Here is the software/hardware, go build me a network!"
This would :

A. Eliminate probably 50% or more of the current MCSE/CCNA and other
certified folks out there.

B. Make all those that did get certified WAY more valuable and able to
command those higher paychecks.

You know, I might fail such a performance test but when I did pass it
I would know I REALLY had accomplished something. I would know that I
was the REAL DEAL!

If the CCIE only took a written exam to get there would be a million
"paper" CCIE's out there right now! CCIE salaries would not be the
present 100K+ (if they still are).... and who would trust it??

Just my .02 cents..

Thank ya' very much!

Elvis

Dead on ! The exams should have a written component and a practical
component. Practical meaning "hands on."
