| Dear Group,
I recently purchased a used Cisco 2514 router with 2 ethernet ports
(with transceivers). I'm connected via IDSL. Several months ago I
registered a domain name and now I've finally found the time to create
a web site.
My problem is that I can't seem to setup NAT to forward port requests
from the outside world to my internal network. I have several
reference books and I've been on the net looking for the correct
syntax but have been unsuccessful so far. Part of my problem is that
I don't understand what is meant by outside and inside regarding the
commands. Are they refering to the interface being on the in or
outside or do'es it regard the traffic flow? Also when to use static
vs. dynamic NAT?
Any clarification and help with proper syntax would be appreciated.
