I took some of my tests at a VUE testing center. Thre testing
computers new fairly new and testing was smooth.. I guess the quality
really depends on the testing center it self. But the testing station
I got for my i-Net+ at a Prometric was so old I watched my screen
refresh at wat seemed like 20hrz.. MY eyes were watering from the
Florescent lights and the screen flickering.. The pc couldn't keep up
with my lightning fast test taking skills I think I was a p100 or
something slow like that.. heh... I hope not all Prometric's are like
this there is one more Prometric testing center near me.. But before I
try that are they all like this or should I go with VUE? Is this why
vouchers are available for Prometric more than VUE?

I was tempted to adjust the refresh rate on the Prometric computer that I
took my test on. But I couldn't decide which outcome was more likely; a)
extra points for fixing the refresh rate on test computer, or b) automatic
failure for tampering with the test computer.

I took my A+ exams at a VUE testing center and everything was perfect.

Like the others said, it's the testing center. Around here, half the
Prometric centers are VUE centers and vice versa. They either have separate
PCs for each, or they dual-boot them. When you call the center you tell them
which you're testing with.
While they all have a minimum requirement standard they must meet, they have
a fairly wide margin in how much they invest in their own facilities. Reward
the ones that are spending the money, go to their centers.
You might perform better too.

Vue has a minimum requirement on hardware and OS so testing centers need to fill those requirements.
