(i-Net+ on the 19th) extra help?

| The i-Net plus sybex book was very disappointing at the very best..
Half the book is a watered down(some almost verbatim) portions from
the Network+ book. I have read the sybex Net+ and it was 10x more
informative(I highlighted just about the whole book). The i-Net plus
sybex book left much to be desired.. I don't feel as prepared for this
test as I was for the Net+. Hmm maybe I should explain For 3 chapters
they ramble on about useless situations that would never help me
understand/help me pass the TEST!!. I thought the sections covering
Certificates / Encryption / Security was weak and uninformative.
Don't get me wrong I loved the Network+ sybex book if it was not for
that I probably would not have passed.. Can any one can direct to me
to additional IK0-002 study materials please post links ASAP... Sorry
Andy I know you Love the Sybex Series and all but this book is crap..
BTW I have also started reading the Server+, CCNA, and ITproject+
sybex books and from what I have stared to read they are very helpful
books..Ahhhh!.. (This could be that Network+ and A+ deal with a lot of
the same objectives and I am fairly familiar with them.. )
Im going to take the test on the 19th i will report back then..
Don't know what I think I don't know but it feels like im missing
something.. Hopefully it will go well..

| Okay - first of all, the Sybex book is right on for the i-Net+ exam. And YES!!! You've covered a lot of the material from the Net+ and a little from the A+. If you feel the need for some other prep, see if you can still find a copy of the Exam Cram for i-Net+ laying around. Normally, I don't like the Exam Cram books, but for the i-Net+ exam, it was also a very good tool.
Best of luck on the 19th. You'll do fine. I found the i-Net+ to be the easiest of the CompTIA certifications (and the most fun to study for). |
