Tony, I was approached by a few IT teaching centers to teach.. Back
when I did not have my A+, Net+.. Is this Normal? I feel much more
confident now but still don't think I could take on that kind of
responsibility.. anyways I have 2 questions..

I have the New Sybex I-Net plus book.. Im A+ and Net+ Certified how
much overlap is there?

Also this is OT.. MOUS seems like an easy certification to complete
how do you go about obtaining the cert.. I couldn't find any
information for Training for the MOUS.. Can you please Post some
Links..

Hi Jason:

There is some overlap (maybe 20%) in networking knowledge between i-Net+ and
your other CompTIA certifications. Try to work through every test simulation
that you can find between now and the time that you take the actual test. It
may even be worthwhile to buy the latest simulation from Measureup.com.

OT: You need to pass at least five exams to be certified as MOUS at the
Master Level: Word 2002 Expert; Excel 2002 Expert; Access 2002 Core; Outlook
2002 Core; PowerPoint 2002 Core. The details are posted at:
http://www.microsoft.com/traincert/mcp/mous/ . You can do MOUS entirely
through self-study, in my opinion. One of the best books available is Ed
Bott and Woody Leonhard's "Special Edition Using Office XP" (Que, 2001). If
MOUS appeals to you, subscribe to their newsgroup at
microsoft.public.office.misc.

One of the great things about IT teaching is that prospective
employers--proprietary schools, senior citizen centers, even community
colleges--have a healthy respect for a candidate's ability to do the work.
The recruitment efforts you experienced amount to high praise. It is
unusual.

Good luck!

Tony
