| If you are certified in I-Net + are there any advantages in getting the CIW
Foundations certificate? Is this correct....If you are certified in I-Net +
and you pay CIW the $95 and send them a copy of you Inet score then that
will also make you CIW Foundations certified and I - Net + certified ? Can
someone who know about this tell me why anyone would want to do this because
I am interested in this if it really makes any sort of a difference.

| I already visited that page and read everything but what I want to know is
why would you apply for the CIW Foundations certification. Is there an
advantage to have both I-Net + and CIW Foundations ?

| But did you go here?
http://www.ciwcertified.com/certifi...comm=home&llm=3
On this page, there is a diagram of their certification tracks.
Your main question is; Why would someone want (to do) this?
As you can see in the diagram, CIW's Associate cert (Foundations exam) is
the prerequisite for everything else.
So, the answer is; Someone would do this if they were interested in going on
to CIW's other certs.

| The other obvious answer is that you get an additional certification to put
on your resume. It's a two-for-one deal, basically. Of course, if you have
an interview with the IT guru at a company you'd like to work for, then he
or she will almost definitely know that you didn't exactly take and pass two
different exams. However, if you interview with someone else, like someone
in the Human Resources department (who may know nothing about IT), then they
might think that you have taken and passed both of them. Stop looking at me
like that! I'm not saying that you have to lie--I'm just saying that if
nobody knows to ask, then why would you volunteer the information? Times is
tough, man.....

| Youre right. I am gonna go ahead and get this CIW certification and maybe
even go for some of their advanced ones in the future. Thanks for the
explanation.
