| Not a big interest in CompTIA i-Net+ certification I guess. Not a very
difficult test however.

| I'm here! I took the I-Net + test about 1 1/2 yrs ago and come by here
on occasion. It's not a very difficult test like stated before... Not
much study time is involved. Not much demand for this cert, either. I
have never seen it in a job description.

| But you can apply your i-Net+ to the CIW which is gaining momentum.

| I am an ISP Support Tech for a telecommications company. My day consists of
transferring domains, creating zone files, email domains, webhosting space.
I assist the customers with configuring POP3 accounts in multiple email
programs, uploading websites as well as troubleshooting any technical issues
that come along. This certification fits nicely in with the job
description, although I have never seen it listed as a required cert or even
mentioned.
Although my major interest is in networking, I am also interested in the
webdesign field. I figure the cert with my work experience will mean
something.

| The main reason I took i-Net+ was because Excelsior gives 4 semester hours
for it. Also, I'll be teaching a similar course, Internet Technologies and
i-Net+ qualified me I enjoyed it, and really felt like I learned something.
Isn't that important too? Besides, I'm "Everything Else +" Why not ???

| Don't take my opinion the wrong way. It is still good to get the cert
and I also applied it to the CIW-A. And even though it is not listed
on job descriptions, i'm sure it looks good on your resume.

| 85% of our business is contract IT training. The other 15% is contract IT
consulting.
We are not a traditional educational provider, we cater to the IT
professional.
