| Had to retake, but on second attempt, passed with a 729. Woohoo!
I recommend Exam Cram 2 series and techexams.net. Use Michael Meyers as a
"beginner's guide to" but whatever you do don't rely on just one source.

| Can you tell me what was not covered in the Meyers book or what gave you
trouble on the first try?

There is nothing wrong with Meyers' guide. It is perfect for someone like me
with no experience, but I don't exactly agree with the title's proclamation,
"All-In-One is All You Need!!" because either it didn't have all the answers
I needed, or it was too long-winded for me to piece together all the raw
data. On the first try with the real exam, there were so many questions that
shocked me with, "wow.. I don't remember Meyers even talking about this
@#$!" Maybe it's all in there, I dunno. But I read his book at least twice
:\ I think it was weak in discussing which protocols operate at which OSI
level. I also don't remember him even discussing the FDDI topology.
I am not bashing his book. Not in the least. Though it's true I found
ExamCram2 to be far more helpful, had I not Meyers' guide first, it probably
would have been over my head. Meyers makes the subject interesting, so the
concepts are easier to absorb. I just don't think all of the facts are
there. When I failed the first time, I made ExamCram2 my true companion and
never flipped through the All-In-One guide again.
The first time, I scored 594. Second time, 726.
