Author Failed Net+ exam...

I made a mistake and it was trusting the Michael Meyers book to be my only
source for info. Meyers' historical approach to the subject made it
interesting and definitely serves as the foundation for passing the test,
but I highly recommend combining his guide with the ExamCram2 Network+
guide, too.

Don't make the same mistake I did. And hurry because they will revise the
exam soon. My retake is right before Christmas.

Only using one book is a big mistake. Also, reading more and knowing the
objectives before sitting for the test is a big help.

Just curious, but were their stuff on the exam you had not seen or was some
of the Myers info incorrect?

You also need Testout or Transcender software. Try Freecomptia.org for
sample test questions, too.

I noticed a lot of things on the test I don't remember encountering in
Meyers' book. Since I've picked up the ExamCram2 book, I am noticing it hits
closer to home with the real exam.

I am not saying his book was not helpful. It's definitely the first thing
you should read if you have no networking experience. The ExamCram2 book
might be over your head if you're just starting out.

BOTH books are good, but it was a mistake to trust only one of them.
