I'm sure Learnkey will be interested in your theft and subsequent resale of
their property. Consider yourself reported.

I don't think he is copying them, I think he is selling the originals.

Actually, even so, its still illegal. WHen you buy learnkey programs you
only pay the right to use them, you don't have the right to resell the cd's,
they remain, in fact, the property of learnkey.

If so, a better-worded approach would be appropriate.

I do admit that I continue to have a problem with this...too old, too
much remembering the good old days of bringing a bunch of novels to
the used bookstore and selling them, and buying a few more.

oh, really? that's lame.... maybe instead of selling the cd's, he should
sell his right to use them

Reading is fundamental XXXXwit. You don't own them, Learnkey owns them, You
only payed for the right to use them.
But do continue on your path to IT as long as we can count on clueless shits
like yourself to screw things up, there will always be work for the real
technicians.

Ah now i understand what your life must be like when you buy somthing from
your local shop or what ever you ( as in in you yourself and know one else
in this news group) are just paying for the privalige to use this
item..........

you better not put a hole in your nike trainers remember you payed a lot of
money for the RIGHT TO USE THEM YOU DONT OWN THEM ..... or at least thats
what your saying

i bought the disk so those disk's are mine and mine only if i was only
going to pay for the right to use them i'd of gone to my local library and
saved a XXXXing packet and could of gave them back when i passed or payed a
lot less and got online training.

And what is Reading is fundamental you don't read the disk and for as long
as there is peple like you out there who could not give a shit about helping
other people i geuss it's going to be a long road for some people who just
don't enjoy reading big text books after all i was only trying to help other
people as not every one can afford $300 or $400 on 4 disk.

Anthony, I understand your frustration. We all want to help each other,
but when it comes to study materials, it can be a difficult situation.

Most of us need the books, discs, and videos to prepare and we know that
once we complete the exam we'll probably not need the stuff anymore, so it
would be better to simply rent the material. Use it for a couple of months
and then give it back.

Unfortunately, when it comes to books and software, the situation gets
difficult. Basically, publishers are letting you purchase a "license" to
use the material. They provide the material to you via book or disc or even
downloading, but the ownership of the material still remains with them.
Does seem strange, but that's the nature of the business.

Imagine if you wrote a program or book about a subject you are expert in.
Then you offer that information to the public. Suddenly, you find that the
CD you released your material on is being resold by each person who receives
it. So, you receive money from the first CD you sold, but that's it.
Everyone in the world now has a copy of your software, but you never
received any compensation, other than for the first disc you sold.

Anyway, you are to be commended for wanting to help others pass the test.
That's what this group is for from what I understand. You are correct in
that you "do" own the CD's you purchased, but you do "not" own their
content. Seems strange, but that's the truth. As far as the sneaker
analogy, yes you would own the sneakers, but not the Nike name or logo.
And, I'm sure no one is going to want to buy the shoes "second hand" after
we're done using them...

Hope that helps
