CompTia Membership

| Hello Folks,
Just curious about getting the most for a buck. CompTia has a Corporate
and an IT Pro Membership. The membership is $59/year going the IT Pro
Membership route, plus you get 25% off your first exam. Does it make sense
to you guys to go ahead and join CompTia and get the membership? Seems to
me it's a free membership basically.
Network+ exam cost $207 if your not a member.
Now take the $207 exam and subtract 25% and you get $155.25 for the first
exam and add $59 for a years membership and you get $214.25. So for $7.25
you get a basically free membership.
Has anyone out there gone this route? Are my marbles in order here? If
this is correct then anyone out there thats not a member of CompTia may want
to get this deal. Just an idea. I called Prometric and the lady there told
me that the CompTia members are given a number and they take that number and
punch it in a machine and it shows them to charge $155 instead of $207. Any
input from those who have done this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

The corporate membership is worth its weight in gold because you can buy an
unlimited quantity of discount vouchers, but the IT Pro membership will not
save you any more on vouchers than you can get yourself through many of the
corporate member voucher resellers.

| I did Net+ first and got the membership because a coleague recommended it.
Then I did A+, so I only saved about $36.
You don't get anything else from the membership, they send you a pin and
that's it. Everything they put in the homepage you can find it very easy on
the internet.
If you want a Certification pin for $7.25 then go ahead
