Passed Net+ with an 833

| Hey Everybody!
Just passed my Net+ with an 833. Woo Hoo! Any idea what type of percentage
that is? Is that a straight 833 divided by 900 or does CompTia use a
different scale?
Thanks,
Tech Guy

| Congratulations on your passing,
I'm curious what you thought of the exam? Was it easy, moderate, or
difficult? What did you use to study with? I think your correct on the
percentage. You should have a 92.5 or 93 on a 100 scale.
Good Work,
Paul

| Thanks for the congrats.
I thought it was mostly easy with some moderate questions. I have had a
little over 3 years of formal IT experience for a variety of companies. I
used the Mike Meyers all in one Guide and his passport as a quick review.
Then I took the practice tests that came with the books. Best of luck!

| Thanks for replying back. I have over 12 years in the industry and half of
that in networking. Most everything I've seen in the books I already know
and is refreshing my brain. I think I'll feel more comfortable with this
exam versus the Microsoft exams.
Congratulations again,
Paul

| Congratulations on the pass.
As for your percentage you scored a 91.6% not a 92.5%.
If you just subtract 100 from everything to remove the offset everything works..
100-900 = 0-800
Minimum score needed = 646-100 = 546
546/800=... blah blah blah you know the rest
If you wanted to test this to make sure...
ex. score 100
100-100 = 0
0/800=0 %
ex. score 900
900-100 = 800
800/800 = 1 (100%)
ex. score 500
500-100 = 400
400/800 = .5 (50%)
Minor details, but just in case anyone needs to know for future reference . |
