Is reading the book enough?

| Hello List,
Well I went out and bought the 3rd edition Sybex Network+ book even though
I had the second edition that I got for five bucks. I had to pay $47 for
the newer version. Anyway my question is, is reading the book enough to
pass the exam? Or do most folks find alternative learning resources to
study for the exam?
Thanks for any input,
Paul

| I found this book to be quite usefull, especially the CD that came with the book because you can use the flash cards or test yourself with example exams. You still should also read others sources to fit the missing puzzle pieces together.

That's going to depend entirely on your proir level of expertise.
If you have been playing around with networks for a while (a few years)
and have been busy with other certifications that have networking as
part of their training, then you'll probably do just fine.
I'd still suggest some additional reading/studying to help you prepare
for the exam. While it always helps to know the material, you also have
to know how to answer *their* questions.
Good luck!!
