Hi all,

What is Mutual Authentication? I saw it listed in the Security+ Examination
Objectives, Domain 1.0, question 1.2. I have looked in my computer books
for Mutual Authentication and could not find it.

Thanks
Kote

Mutual authentication is two way authentication between a client & server.
What is means is that both the requesting system and the target system must
fully identify themselves to each other before they can communicate. There
are a couple of ways this can be accomplished - certificates or key exchange
being the most common.
