Author Required Pass Percentage

Could anybody confirm the required pass mark percentage required to pass the
exam. I know the it's marked 100 - 900 with a pass mark of 646, which I make
out to be 80.75%, but I would be grateful if somebody could confirm this as
I find it easier to work these things out in percentages......

Who gives a shit what the percentages are! Here's a thought, why not learn
the material? You could use the time use spend trying to figure the minimum
score you can pass with.

Can't do that. Working on past experiences it appears the questions can
have different weightings. I agree with ImhoTech - just learn the subject.

I agree with the comment to just learn the subject - which I would like to
think I have done. However the practice tests score by percentage and I was
curious as to how this maps to COMPTIA scoring to help gauge how ready I am.

Unfortunately I find it rather sad that there are people who trawl these
NG's only to post unfriendly comments comments - thank you very much
ImhoTech for you intellegent input, I'll know to ignore your comments in

I find rather humorous that anyone would think that practice test scores map
to comptia scores in any fashion.

Why not just attempt to answer the guy's question instead of going into
hyper-emotional mode?
Take a Paxil or something.

I did answer the guys question. I didn't go "emotional" . Take a Paxil?
Please get some original material or don't bother posting.

Can I have some of what you are smoking? There was no overracting on the
part of ImhoTech, he just bluntly stated the facts, some here want
everything to be sugar coated but it doesn't work that way in real life so
get over it and concentrate on learning the material not about passing a
stupid exam.

Martin,

Don't let flamers get you down. While I agree that you should focus
on learning the material (learn it, then learn it again, then start
breathing it), there is nothing wrong with wanting to gauge your
readiness--especially since the test costs $190.

Good rule of thumb is to use more than one study text, then regularly
pass practice exams at 90%. You know in your heart if you haven't put
forth your best study effort.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for you advice, I'm amazed at the number and type of responese I
received to my question. I was only curious at how the two compared.

And after all that I passed the following day with 873.

Hmmm.....I can't speak for the Net + exam, as I'm about four weeks away from
that yet, but I know, when I took A+ two months ago, my practice test score
and my actual scores on the exam were almost the same, (my actual score just
a bit higher). Perhaps, given the different format of the test, it will be
different with Net+.
