Well... I've been monitoring this NG for a few months now and TECHIE, I have
finally come to the conclusion that you have a HUGE superiority complex. Or,
that you're under medicated...

I must admit that I gave you quite a few chances before judging you but,
instead of getting better, you're definitely getting worse. Your last
prescription not working as advertised? I'd go back and see my Doc if I were
you... There might still be hope.

Some guys/gals may not be as comfortable as you are looking for information.
Is that a reason for calling them 'lazy sacks of shit'?

I'm sure that the posters that are asking questions would rather that you
not 'help' them, instead of mocking them and including one of your regular
'helpful' links.

Sorry bud, but it was bugging me enough to let you know.

Scope,
No problem I respect your opinion but to be honest who cares what you think.
Yes, I do have a superiority complex towards some/most on these people on
the newsgroups that post utter nonsense, or don't even bother looking at
previous posts for the answers. If anyone posts a legitimate question I
would help but they all post the same BS day after day without even looking
if its already been asked and answered.

If the poster even bothered looking on the Totalsem.com site when he was
looking for the voucher that he wanted in the first place the requested
information is clearly posted.

So in your opinion its ok for people to not look up anything at all and rely
total on others for information? Give me a break, and the "helpful links" I
post point directly to the requested information its hardly my fault if
people are too stupid to look in the first place.

My point in attacking the lazy is that when they hit the IT industry they
need to be able to do simple things like web searches, and how to look at
previous posts before asking redundant questions. I work for 6 people that
fall into the category of the lazy with a major IT company and believe me
they may be certified but they can not do anything other than cause more
work for those around them.

Point taken Techie (to a degree) but, what I believe is happening is that
most of these posters just 'jump in' the NG without, like some of us,
bothering to monitor it for a few days/weeks.

I can see this becoming annoying after a while for someone that hangs out
here regularly. But I also believe that a respectful response wouldn't hurt
anyone, and might not scare off some of these neophytes from contributing to
the NG in the future.

Just my opinion.

Scope,
Your point is also taken but I respectfully disagree because if you coddle
them once it never stops whether its here in the NG or on the job. My goal
is not to scare off the new people or make them nervous about posting, its
to get them to think first or at the very least check the basics such as the
web site for the voucher or certification they want before posting something
that is clearly stated.

In the case of a newbie posting a technical question no problem go ahead
because this is a great place to get those answers to help them out and I am
all for that. However, what gets my dander up is braindumpers, cheaters, or
people who want to be spoon fed because these are the same people who will
later complain they can not find jobs or at least good paying jobs.
