| Max character length of NetBios name? One practice exam said 15 and another
said 16. I say 15. Anyone know for sure???
I take the exam Tuesday...

15 characters with a 16th added by the OS for service identification.

i believe the original specs for Netbios is 16 characters.
Microsoft implementation = 15 (16th is used for service type)
