Class A =3D first bit is 0 (1-127)
Class B =3D first 2 bits are 10 (128-191)
Class C =3D first 3 bits are 110 (192-223)

Originally subnet masks were not transmitted - default subnet masks were =
ALWAYS used.
Hardly any routers use this info anymore, it is just a way of learning =
it now.
