Michael Meyers does a great job with LK Network+

| Michael Meyers does a great job with LK Network+ and as boring as it may be to some people with experience, he interacts and makes it more interesting compared to alot of other CBT's I have seen and tested with.
On the downside, there are quite a few mistakes and shortcuts that everyday admins use that get overlooked, as well as quite a few terminology errors as well as Practice test "bugs".
Michael speaks to LK students as if they were 8 yr olds ... making it easy to understand, but almost degrading one's intelligence. (IMO)
I am not sure if it is worth the $$$ for the LearnKey, however it may be deductable as a business expense/training ... or possibly work may assist.
I have also seen CBT's in [alt.binaries.cbts], but not sure if those are "proper" and legal.
I also use testking practice exams as well as TroyTech Network+ (v3) Study Guide. $$$
I take exam May 30th - wish me luck !

| I am using a Course Technology book.. "Network+ Guide to Networks Second Edition" along with the Lab Manual... that's what my class offered to sell me.
I much rather been offered a Mike Meyers book any day over this book. There is no personality... there is no guidance... there are no tips.... and last but not least... there are no answers for chapter questions!!!
I feel like I have been dropped on a deserted island and have been told to build a network to get my way home.
Ooy... I sure hope I can overcome this and pass the Net+ exam when it comes time. | |

Mike...one of the greatest comedies of all-time, "The Beverly
Hillbillies", started when I was younger than 8, and continued through
my eighth year and beyond, until it was finally cancelled. I saw it
years later, and remembered many episodes, but, being more mature, the
jokes hit me at a different level, the same jokes that I got for
totally different reason, or for a lesser version of the same reason,
when I was a kid. Those clever writers had written multi-level humour.
The "Pink Panther" cartoons fall into this category also.
Your writing is like that; it hits home at the adult level also. You
just have to be an adult to know...? :-)

I also have the LK for Net+, I think they're pretty good, but I would like
to know which errors your speaking of so I can have my facts straight. Don't
get me wrong, I have read a book (MS Networking Essentials Plus) but that
was a few months back, and I mainly used the LK cds as a refresher, though I
feel I have a better grasp on things altogether.
Thanks in advance,
Eric
