| Hi everybody
Passed A+ few days ago. Now I am thinking of taking the network+.
I need some advice about the best book that covers the exam and also some
comments about best practice test software that is closely related to the
real exam.
I will appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance

| Hi, I'm reading Exam Cram 2, Network + from Que. It's okay, easy to read but
I have discovered several very bad mistakes.

| The Sybex books are very good. They are recommended by CompTia. I used Sybex
to pass the A+ exam.

| I used Michael Meyers All-In-One 4th edition exam guide to pass A+, but I am
using Sybex for my study guide for Network+. I heard lots of good things
about Sybex and since I checked out Sybex Network+ book from the local
library, the good things I heard about it is pretty much true. It is so
easy to understand that anyone can pick it up and learn. Just remember that
you really don't need to purchase a book, you can always go to a local
library and check it out. If you don't have access to your local library or
if they don't carry those books then this is the best place to ask around.
Hope this helps you because that is the best suggestion I have for you to
see which book is right for you. Remember that not all books are suited for
everyone, it all depends on how you study and how you learn on your own.

| Do NOT use Mike Meyers All-In-One Exam guide for Network+. Although he
covers the basics of the exam very well he doesn't go into much (if any
detail) regarding NAS, Unix, Macintosh and Novell. I used this book and got
screwed on a few questions regarding NAS and Mac. I scored 793 but that's
also because I have 1.5 years knowledge from my college regarding the topics
that are covered.
I suggest you use Sybex. That's what I will be using when I start studying
for Server+ next week.
Good luck!

You should be happy with the Sybex book. I used it and found the book
to be very low in errors and give a good overview of the technologies
you need to be familiar with for the Network+ exam.
For practice test, take a look at Transcender. They are always the
best recommended test aid.
To see a few other study options for the exam, take a look here:

Good luck!

| i used meyers passport and thought it weak. luckily i also had sybex
networking complete. it seems to be a collection of chapters from various
network+, ciso and m$ exams published by them. it helped me understand vlans
much better than meyers.
