| really depends. A+ might help you get a tech job, I can't see Network+
getting you a job on its own.

| I agree with Daniel. Lots of jobs in my area(Virginia Beach) look for A+
certification, that is basically all that I see. I have never seen any
company post Network+ certificate required. Network+ is more of 18-24
months of experience and A+ is more of an entry-level to the IT field.

Start with the A+. It provides a foundation which you should have
some understanding on before going to Network+. Also, more companies
are likely to advertise for A+. Many managers may not even know what
Network+ is, although they should if they are handling hiring.
To see how you can use your A+ and Network+ to help towards other
certifications (such as MCSA in three more exams), take a look here:

Good luck!

| Most people do A+ first. One because it's more of an industry standard (ie.
more demand for it) and second because it's easier and therefore provide the
basics you're expected to know before taking Network+.

Also one good reason to take your A+ before Net+ is often people get
very nervous for there first exam because there not sure what to
expect. If you plan to eventually get both certs its much easier to
sit down and take a easier test that is only 30 or 60 questions
(depends on if you take the O.S and hardware on the same day) rather
than the Net+ with 75 questions.
