I was watching the LearnKey Net+ CDs by Mike Meyers and I studied with
the All-In-One book. On the Cd video he said anyone who wants to pass should
look at the newsgroup. I had a college course that used a different book
that was much more technical. I enjoyed Mike's much more. The practice exams
with my other book sound very similar to what everyone who passed is
describing. I don't have the book on me but when I get it I'll give you the
title. I've had some hands on experience running cables and making a small
peer-to-peer at home. I was feeling calm about my test at 1pm but you guys
are scaring me. O well nothing I can do now. Wish me luck

Later

Joe,

I bought the LearnyKey CD and All in one book too. Let me know if you are
able to pass the Net+ test or not later.
Good luck to you!

Billy

I just passed. I got a 750 not a great score but its passing. I think
Mike's book is a great tool to prepare, the LearnKey CDs hit some stuff the
book didn't (visuals are always cool). All in all I think the All-In-One is
great. The practice test are not the same as the actual test (Mike's make
more sense). It looked like CompTIA was trying to trick you with bad
English. There were a few things not in the book like 3 or 4 questions were
a complete guess because I never heard of the stuff. The
http://www.freecomptia.com/ site that I found posted in here are closer to
the real test questions. Mike gives you the knowledge you just have to be
able to use it.
Hope this helps. Good Luck when you.

The book you said you had for a college course; Do you have the title? I'm
looking for a second book.

The book I read for college was Networking Network+ Guide to Networks Second
Edition By Tamara Dean. I was a little date when I had for class so I'm sure
there is a new edition out. It went into a lot more detail especially into
NOSs and encryption.
