I came across this book on Amazon.ca the other day ... I was wondering if
it's any good because I notice it's fairly new (Nov. 2002) meaning the
concepts and everything should be pretty current ...

I'm deciding on whether to purchase this or the Mike Meyers passport or
David Groth ones ... (which seem to be the best according to this newsgroup)

I used the ExamCram 2 by Mike Harwood and David Groth's Network+ Third
Edition Study Guide. Buy both of them online from Amazon.com or
Bookpool.com and save some moolah. The Exam Cram 2 had some errors, but
overall was a good book. It goes into more detail on specific topics than
Groth's book. In my opinion, they complimented each other. I used them
both to study, and any other issue that I wasnt clear on, I researched the
internet. Hope this helps.

hmm ... can you tell me what ExamCram 2 you're talking about? I couldn't
find this book anywhere on Amazon.ca or .com. The one I mentioned "Network
+ Exam Cram" by Mike Harwood is dated November 2002 and is 1st edition.
