Importance of RAID etc in N+ Exam

| HI- Am new to networking, & just started studying for the Network +
exam online, there seems to be a pretty big section on Fault Tolerance
which details 6 RAID levels, and also the newer FTDS etc - Just seems
to be an huge amount of detail - to a new guy anyways!
I've got a copy of the Network + Exam Objectives from the CompTIA
site, and it looks like Fault Tolerance is about 10% of "Network
Implementation" - which in turn is approx 23% of the domain areas
tested in the exam.
So, guess my question really is can anyone give me an idea of the kind
of detail I do need to be familiar with to cover this topic for the
exam - Realise there's no exact answer, any advice welcome....
Thanks

Zoomclub;
I had no RAID questions on my test. I did however, have several Unix/Linux,
and NetWare related questions on it.
Be forewarned: they do put those types of questions on there. So study for
everything.

Get a used prep book, including the CD. You'll have a better idea of
the level of detail you're expected to know.
You need to know what RAID levels 0-5 are about. 2-4 aren't really
used IIUC, so know when to use 0, 1, and 5, and how much hdd data
space they'll provide you with.
Know the difference between fault tolerance and disaster recovery, and
the common methods of each. That kind of stuff. I missed at least ten
questions and still passed with a 766. (I thought I probably missed
only a few, but not according to the score report)

| If you don't want to understand RAID levels, why are you in the computer
business?? I think that RAID knowledge is basic knowledge for any IT
professional.
