| I keep seeing backup options and RAID on exam notes, but I don't see these
topics mentioned in the comptia objectives. Are these covered on the test?

Although it's not listed as an official exam objective, you should be
familiar with the topic.

You should know how to restore a grandfather-father-son backup, the
difference between incremental and differential, and the basic differences
between RAID 0 through 5. I think my test might have had a RAID question,
but I don't remember.

I took the exam yesterday and RAID was mentioned in one of the
questions.

The Comptia Objectives on Domain 3.0
sub 3.5, Identify the purpose and characteristics of fault tolerance.
3.6, Identify the purpose and characteristics of disaster recovery.
These include such things as raid, backups,power supplies and surge protectors
and also virus protection.

| Usually when I take a practice test, I get questions like "What level of
RAID offers the best protection"....or something along those lines. It would
not hurt to know it.
