| Took the exam today and passed with a 766, which I was glad to get. I was sure
I missed 3 out of the first 5 questions. To me it seemed that there were very
easy questions with some ridiculously hard ones in between. I didn't sense
much of a middle ground.
CompTIA has a way of phrasing questions so that you don't know what they're
talking about. Either that, or asking a question you're sure you know, but
then giving you answer choices that all seem wrong. I'm not complaining. I'm
just saying it's challenging.
My exam covered everything--Token Ring, FDDI, 10Base5, DSL, IPX
addressing--everything--even subjects that some texts suggest won't be on the
exam. My advice would be to read everything you can get your hands on--even
non-text book sources, where terms come up in contexts you're not used to.
I studied hard for this exam--for a long time, but I can't say I'm happy with
my score. I'm hoping to do better on the i-net+.
