Network+ or Networking Essentials Plus

| What is the difference between Network+ and Networking Essentials Plus?
I believe Networking Essentials Plus is a Microsoft certification and
Network+ is Comptia.
Anybody know how these certifications differ? Is one more prestigious than
the other?

Microsoft dropped their Network Essentials exam and certification last year.
Their books are good but there is no exam or certification for networking
basics. It's all a part of the MCSE now.
