Is the Network+ (or really are any of these certification exams) really that
difficult if you've used the technologies? For over 10 years, in some
capacity, I have been involved in networked systems. Ethernet (thin, thick,
and various fibers), Token Ring, ArcNet, heck... even Lantastic and Netware
Lite. I've lived the evolution of network telecommunications, starting with
Procomm, a Hayes 300 baud internal modem, and any plethora of BBS's
proceeding through the modem revolution, ISDN, and now DSL/Cable. I've
installed firewalls, proxy servers, hubs, routers, switches, satellite
modems, radio modems, blah blah blah.

Today I completed the 4 CD LearnKey Network+ 2002 CBT and honestly, there
was very little covered that I did not already know. I passed all the tests
LearnKey included with room and much time to spare.

I don't mean to toot my own horn [much], but I want to understand if I am
fooling myself into believing the exam will be easier that it really is.
I've never persued certification of any type before, but as most my
education is on-the-job and my formal education is somewhat lacking, I am
hoping this would improve my marketability. Since I'm flipping the bill
myself, I don't want to spend more than is absolutly necessary to pass.

Thank you in advance,
Magestic
