I have 2 computers networked (peer to peer), they connect and share drives
and I can play games and the whole nine yards. But when I go to connect to
the internet I lose everything, the network is completely lost. I have
narrowed it down to my USB causing all the problems.

This whole problem goes away if my USB is Disabled in Device Manager on the
computer sharing the internet (ICS), which is a 56k dial-up. With USB
Disabled there is no network loss in any situation.

Now I can fix this problem by changing back and forth from Autosense to Half
or Full duplex in my Network card properties while be connected to the
internet,
then the network goes back to normal, I can even access my shared drives
while on the internet with no network loss.

There are no IRQ conflicts, the USB only shares IRQ 5 with the sound card.

What could possibly be causing the USB's Enabled to screw up my network only
when connecting to the internet? This one has me baffled!?!
Thanks in advance.

My Specs are:

FIC AN11 Stealth (mobo)
Netgear FA311 NIC (computer 1(ICS))
CNET Pro200WL NIC (computer 2)
4 port Linksys router/switch (had same problem with an 8 port hub)
Modem Blaster modem
Both computers are running WinXP SP1
