Kid,

With W2K, you need create a share for your C: drive or folder(s) that
u wanna share and then give Everyone or whom ever u want... access to
the newly created share you created.

Good luck!

Hello,

When you say that he must create a share on the "C:" drive; on which
computer you wanna to make that. Effectivelly WinNT, 2K already have a share
called <driveletter>$ on each drive that you have on the computer. On this
default share, you must make security and policies.

But on the Win98, ME, you don't have any default share, and you must create
one for having possibility to access the drive from another computer.

Try to give access to everyone only the "Change" access permitions, because
if you give the "Full Access", all users can make anything on your drive...
The "Change access provide the : Creation, deletion, modification and
listing on the share. The "Full access" allow equally to change permissions,
taking ownership and all administrative rigths on files and sub-folders on
the share.

A+

ok... again... for the W2K machine, u'll need to create "ANOTHER"
share for your C: drive and/or whatever folders you wanna share and
then u give it the right access to the Everyone group or whatever
group your heart desires. DO NOT let the first share make u think
that's all u need as that one is for INTERNAL use only, or rather,
local... i.e. administrators and such.

Yes, on those u need create shares as well.

Good point there but not like if u use your PC in a LAN environment
the it shouldnt really be of major concern if is just a home PC in a
LAN.
