Author Duplicate name exists on network

I have 2 WinXP Pro machines and 2 Windows 98 machines all networked via a
switch w/o DHCP. I have static IP on all of them. They only Dial-Up for
Internet access. I am now getting an error at first from one of Windows XP
Pro system that "Duplicate name exists on network." None of the computers
have the same computer name, so I am not sure exactly what to do to correct
this problem. Thanks for your help.
