Hiya everyone.

I just passed today, so if anyone wants some tips just give me a yell.

There is one thing i can tell u. KNOW YOUR TOPOLOGIES like there is no
tommorrow. Especially Token rings and Token Ring hubs. There was more
questions for me the ring topology than the other types of topologies. So i
was caught out a little bit. I still mananged 740. Also know your Port
addresses like Telnet, HTTP, HTTPS.

If anyone else has questions please give me a buz.

Cheers.

Hashem

Did you read the part you signed about not talking about the test or what
was on it?

it's not like he quoted actual questions. basically anything can crop up in the exam. he's just quoting items off the objectives.

No need to be ridiculous here....he hasn't given any exact
questions...hell the Comptia site will tell you that you need to know
the topics that he's mentioned here...sweet Jesus.

Yeah, when I took my A+, I took the part about not talking about the test
and what was on it to mean don't go and do a braindump. Don't tell people
what the exact questions you had were. Saying "know your topologies" and
"know your port addresses" is nothing more than advice along the lines of
reading the CompTIA objectives for the test. It isn't like he gave any
actual questions to us.

My mistake I guess.
Can someone supply where to find CompTia's confidentiality agreement?

Have you read Cisco's confidentiality agreements?
I would hope CompTia's agreement was similar.

I will clarify everything now.

When u buy a book on certification. They give the knowledge to pass the
test.

ok...now.......

When i say if anyone needs help passing the test, i want to help people.
Whats in it for me if i get someone to cheat?

ok...now...

I must say that many people need to start thinking about the things that
they say in here. If someone wants to cheat let them cheats, thats their
problem. Lets be mature please.

Cheers.

you too need to think about what you are saying. Cheaters in my
opinion cheapens our certificates. CompTia tells us what we will be
tested on. If we know the exact questions that we will see we won't
bother to learn or understand what we are suppose to. Sometimes it
amazes me that we do not tell candidate for the test when they ask
about it, that they should go to comptia and read the guideline of
what they should know and they won't go wrong in doing so. Cheating
gradually cheapens our efforts and make things more difficult for
noncheaters. Suppose I as an employer, boss or supervisor and I
understand what level of ability someone should have regarding a
subject and I realize that some who have certificates doesn't have
the knowledge of the subject because he or she cheated, then I am
going to be suspicious of the next candidate or person who passed, who
might be one of us. We should encourage everyone to learn the material
as outlined by CompTia.

Short Cuts draws blood.
