| I know this question must have been asked a million times, but I'm new to
this group. What is a good book to buy for the network plus test. I have an
old network plus exam cram book, but it is a few years old and I guess they
updated the test this year.

| DO NOT BUY: EXAM PREP OR EXAM CRAM BY CORIOLIS. Apperently they are out of
business... their books are still in circulation at CHAPTERS.... I bought
them 75 for one and 45 for the other... what a rip off.
The books I've seen recommended here are: mike myers, and believe it or not
the Microsoft Press has a book for the comptia Network+

| Add Sybex to that list. I used the Meyers book, I knew much of the
material before I started (I started on Monday and took the test on
Friday, passed with a high score (833/900) but thought it was a very
difficult test). However, I felt that there was material on the test
that wasn't in the Meyers book. The Meyers books is probably "good
enough", but by no means do I feel that by itself it will guarantee a
passing grade. There may be no single source that's any better, but
another poster said he thought the Sybex book was the best of those he'd
seen (and he had used the Meyers book).

The Sybex book worked quite well for me. It is low on errors and good
at introducing a lot of different technologies. Another good option
is the Mike Myers book.
For links to both, take a look at:

Good luck!
