| Here's the problem I have 2 machines running Win me and a 3rd Win2000
Pro, on a network, all the machines can see each other the Win2000
machine can access the drives on the Win ME machines but the machines
running ME cannot access the Win2000 Machine it keeps requesting a
password even though I have inputed the administtator's password from
the ME machines it keeps telling me that it is the wrong password, has
anyone any Idea's???

|
| Windows 2000 uses USER Authentication & does not use "Resource =
Passwords"
Log-in to ME with an account & password that exists also on the Windows =
2000 machine

| I have tried logging on with the Win2000 Administrator's password but it
doesn't accept it.

| You can right click on the C drive on the win2k machine, and share it, w/ no
password.

You could enable the guest account on the Win 2000 machine, and see if
that helps.

| not that im an expert but....
creating a user account on the 2k system, then logging onto the ME box with
that user/pass should do it..

| You will need to create a user on the W2K machine - no password
needed... and login with same user name on the ME machine(s) w/o
password since no password was used to create the user on the W2K
machine... and to access the shared resources on the W2K machine, you
will also need to create a new share for all the drives and devices
you want that W2K machine to share. Even though W2K automatically
shares its C$ drive, you will need to create a new share regardless
for each device as stated above.
Hope this is clear enuff!
