Please Don't Never Throw Sausage Pizzas Away

Please = Physical
Don't = Data
Never = Network
Throw = Transport
Sausage = Session
Pizzas = Presentation
Away = Application

or do you need to know what each does?

I seem to find that "All People Seem To Need Data Processing" is more easily
remembered than the sausage pizza one, although there may be exceptions

http://www.mcseguide.com has a lot of info on the A+ and Network+ including
their own study guides. Don't be put off by the website url, it deals with
Cisco, MS, etc etc.

This may sound a wee bit juvenile to some and I cannot believe I am
admitting to this here, but I actually sat down and drew a little cartoon
like presentation of the OSI. Yes, the "Party.doc" wanted to move the party
to another comp, so the doc became little smiley face packets as they
traveled through the layers. Some of the little packets had to take a later
bus at the network layer due to a traffic back up etc. Well, it helped me
understand.

My throw back to the old School House Rock cartoons on Saturday mornings.

If cartoons didn't work, Mike Meyers wouldn't use them, but they do
work for him, and they work well, and there would not be so many of
those channels on the satellites either if they didn't work. Cartoons
work.

One of my favourite cartoons was from an education psychology book I
had in my university years, and it practically taught a week's lesson
in its 4 frames. (Information provided upon request)

Do whatever works for you. If it is different and also works for
others, cash in on the idea before someone else does.

I remember Schoolhouse Rock, I think (conjunction junction, what's
your function?)...I used to catch a bit of it (if that is in fact,
"it"), during the Pink Panther show on Saturday mornings while I was
at *cough* university (I think). Hey...we didn't just study, and we
didn't all sleep in on Saturday morning either, even when hung over.
It actually helped, though, that I was in an earlier time zone... :-)

Cartoons work, and yours sounds like a good one. Maybe you can develop
an entire study approach based on this...think about it.

Whatever makes you remember it. I came up with my own catchy phrase to

On the situation comedy Taxi, Jim Ignatowski remembered Alex' locker
combination, 3-14-60, because they were all ages that Frank Sinatra
had been.

Now...how the heck did I remember it? :-)

There are a few stories on the net for remembering what each layer does too.
Let me know if you can't find them but want one or two.
