a question about the survey before the exam

| i read a post here about the ccna exam one said that if i choosed in the survey that im a beginer and i got big score or finshed the exam in short time i get a mark ( bad thing ) on the certificate
can u please explain more ?????
"Got 1000 marks
and finished in 15 minutes" but you are a beginner, you may have a problem
down the road, or your certificate may have a logo of crossed fingers by the
Cisco logo. I mean, if you have to resort to TestKing, et al, then you
probably aren't keen enough to answer accordingly to reflect your "1000
marks."
p.s. check this link www.net130.com a chinees site that has many good sources for ccna | |

| That is probably the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. The survey is
exactly that - a survey. It is simply for Cisco to track how well people do
on the tests in accordance with how much knowledge they have.

| Common sense would say that this couldn't possibly be true. Yet I recently
bought a Cisco press book (CCNA Flash Cards), and near the back, in the
"Last Minute Exam Tip" section, it states:
"If you read the disclaimer [on the questionnaire] it says that how you
answer the questions on the questionnaire determines how you are graded on
the exam, although we are not sure how Cisco does this...so answer wisely".
My jaw dropped when I read that!

Neither are true. I have never seen *that* disclaimer, and I know the
questionnaire has no bearing on how scoring is done.
I highly doubt the person that wrote that book had any involvement in
the test development process.

| An urban myth that has been around since I did Novell exams which had a
similar questionnaire and that was 8 years ago.

| How do you know? Are you involved in the development process?
Not that I disagree with you. The cert would become valueless if it were
scaled based on a questionaire.

| And yet it still makes it way into current study guides. A study guide from
Cisco Press no less. Odd.

Yes, I have developed a Prometric exam before, and know exactly what
the questionnaire is for. I have posted the explanation a few times
previously in this group if you want to look on google.

And yet it is also odd that they reference a disclaimer which doesn't
exist!
