Hi, I'm trying to connect to my SQL server which is on a remote server. I
am at my home office in which I sit behind the 501. Can someone help me on
what I need to do. I'm very very new with Cisco equipment. I know I would
need to open a port. But now sure how.

Thanks
David

Fist, this is a forum for cisco certification discussion, not consulting
advice...

and on that note, I will still help ya out. Is the SQL server you are
connecting to behind a firewall? If so, I suggest a VPN tunnel from your
501 to the other firewall (or if there is a VPN concentrator). you really
havent given us much to go on here.

thanks,
