I am aware based on Cisco documentations that if you are using redundant
supervisor IV in CAT 4507R that only Gigabit Ethernet 1/1 and 2/1 are active
while 1/2 and 2/2 are both inactive.
Is it possible to use both cards fully active at the same time and choose
not to use the RPR mode?
Without having a test box to work on I'm not sure if I could just say "No
mode rpr" in the redundancy
section of the configuration and it would then allow me to mess with both
supervisor modules.
I'm not asking you to give me details so much as just a Yes or No answer to
whether or not this can be done. I'd be more than willing to figure the rest
out on my own if it's at all possible to do what I'm asking.
Thanks,
Al
